    Found quite a few of these caterpillars on one of my roses, I think they are sawfly but not sure. I cut off the leaves and put them on the top of our wall and, within minutes, ants came out and were attacking them.

    Yeah they look like sawfly to me as well.

    I wonder if the ants would 'milk' them like they do aphids?
