Hi Everyone - after a long search we will be welcoming Lou-Lou (12month old king charles spaniel) into our home of 2 kids (7 & 5) hubby and myself.....she is a darling, so sweet around the kids etc....could anybody give me some advice on whether a puppy class would still accept us bearing in mind that she is 12 months old (she has never had any training) we would really like to attend classes to help form a bond with her, socialise her with other dogs, educate ourselves - especially the kids!!!! are we on the right lines here?????

When she comes to us this will be her forever home - we just really want to do everything possible to help her settle into our family as smoothly and stress-free for her as poosible, I know you guys our there have a wealth of experience and we could use some guidance please.....we also have an elderly cat (Wellington) and want to make this as stress free for him as we can aswell....

Thank you - I am so glad I found this site.......;)

Give the training classes a bell and explain the position I'm sure they will only be to pleased to help. Some puppy/training classes have an induction night so maybe thats the time to ask for advice etc.

Hi, when my pup was at puppy classes there was an adult dog there who had never been trained or around other dogs much, so it would be an idea to ring and see what they say.

Good luck with your new addition and don't forget to take lots of pics :)
