Brilliant. "Can I have your names please?"
Not funny though is it. A friend of mine is an alternative musician, he makes "music" out of some very odd, everyday sounds. Now I may have my own opinions about whether his recordings amount to music or not, but he's stopped and moved on regularly by the police - for having sound recording equipment. In a city where round every corner you see a film crew. Some bizarre weight-throwing is going on.

Why are they so obsessed with stopping him filming? What is the problem? Does any one know the full story behind this?
I find the whole thing very disturbing and slighty scary:scared:

You know all these cop programmes on the box? Over and over you will hear the same words...

The person being arrested or spoken to...

"What's that camera doing?...Don't film me!!"

And the answer from each and every cop...is either.."He's not filming you,he's filming us!"...or..."He's in a public place,he can film what he likes!"

I've heard this said over and over again...funny how they know this when it suits them...but not if it's you doing the filming.

And if anyone's gonna dive on here with the old...'Another police hating thread'
I'm critisizing the deviousness and bullying that's entered what was once the best police force in the world.

20 years ago my Dad was nearly arrested coz a police officer was too busy looking at a girl in a short skirt to watch where he was going and so rear ended my fathers (stationary) car. Im pretty sure they have always been idiots...
We just didnt all have video cameras back then!;)
