This is Harry....he's a friends cat who will be staying with us for a little while. He's a gorgeous boy and only a kitten but he's really not getting on with ours :( Tango, who is the most easy going, gentle natured cat absolutely hates him. He hisses and growls whenever he see's him. Harlequin actually pooped in Harvey's new Tuffy's bed yesterday rather than use a litter tray; she's never done that before!!!

We've looked after cats before and its never been a problem so I'm not sure what's going on here. He isn't neutered yet, so could that be it? We've had unneutered girls before, but not boys....

Haha I swear he does have a little bit of a devil in him!!!

I do feel sorry for him though as I'm sure he's desperate to play!

Oh dear - your boys obviously aren't too happy with their guest :( It could be because he hasn't been neutered yet. I'd try some Feliway

    Thanks Lynn :)

Do you think it would be worth giving him a bath too, just in case they don't like his smell?

Rather than giving Harry a bath you could rub all of them over with talc so that they smell the same :)

I would say it's definitely because he's not neutered. Your boys will be thinking of him as a threat to their territory, as he's an entire male.

I agree that rubbing them all with some talc might help, and a Feliway plug in.

    Good luck :)

I could send Louie round to swear at your Tango ;)

Talc & Feliway but the spray might work quicker just a bit more pricey

    Thanks for the replies :D

Tango is our only boy....is it likely that the girls are picking up on Tango's dislike?

I think I have some Feliway somewhere....so I shall have a hunt. In the meantime, I'll attack him with some talc :D

I will let you know how we get on.

At the moment, he's still sleeping on top of the fish tank.....doesn't help that its Tango's favourite spot
