More blinking wasps!! took the dogs to the wharf today to just relax(yep more relaxing);) only there for about 15mins, couldnt stand all the wasps about, we were going to eat there but decided just to have a cuppa, they were even after my tea! cant stand the horrible things, and was worried incase Millie got stung cos she is allergic to them, wasted afternoon that was:mad:

I find a well placed Land Mine deals with this problem sufficiently!
I hate the damn things to.. I'm sure they are one of the only insects in the world that serve no purpose but to annoy Humans!

Sure they serve a purpose 3 red dogs. They remind us how cuddly bees are.

I was once stung 7 times by a wasp that flew up the sleeve of my t-shiry. It stuing me five times under the arm and then flew out of my t-shirt and stung me twice on the ankle.

W ehad to smash it with a shovel before it would stop stinging me.

I've only seen a couple this year to date

Maybe they're starting at the coastlines and working their way inland! :D

We were camping near a nest last week - not great with a few of my Guides being scared of them. Bl**dy instructors staying in the lodge next to our site took it upon themselves to fumigate - result was loads of wasps surrounding us whilst we were trying to eat lunch. By the end of the week, four girls had been stung plus one leader once & another 3 times!!!
