That me and OH are about to become doggy parents again :D

About a month ago I was looking through the rescue sites and found a litter of 9 Lab cross puppies all up for adoption. We've had our home check and have passed and we are now all about to leave for Pembroke to pick (just one of them!) up. We're getting another bitch and she will be called Freya.

No photos as of yet but rest assured they'll be lots for you all to trawl through tomorrow night when we're back :D

I'm a bit confused  four months ago you re-homed Louie because your hubby worked super long hours and you were going into full time education.

Have your circumstances really changed that much in four months that you have time for a puppy now?

Just to clear up your confusion; last year we made a very painful decision that for a number of reasons, far from just working hours, Louie would be happier living with the lovely lady who adopted him. She's given him his perfect home and she loves him more than anything. It was no different a situation to any of the other foster dogs we've had and I don't know if you remember, but Louie was found as a stray so he had always been fostered by us with the support of a rescue.

I don't need to go into reasons why I'm now not on full time education on here but in November, my OH was offered a new job that cut his work hours nearly in half, increased his salary and we moved over to North Yorkshire. so yes, our circumstances have changed.

Just for the record, I know bearcub on a more personal level in that I have met her a couple of times and she got the dog trainer we use with Bos involved with helping Louie. She made a very difficult decision with Louie because even if she hadn't been gonig into full time education etc she was strong enough to admit that they were not the right home to help Louie (who did have issues with various things). I know sometimes its difficult to judge people over a forum but Bearcub is one of the good ones, she put all she could into Louie, but in the end she would have had to sacrifice fostering other dogs for rescue and was comprimising Florence, who was there first, in keeping Louie, she did 100% the right thing for everyone concerned.

Anyhoo, can't wait to see new addition :001_tt1:
