I'm looking for a hatchback or possibly a small SUV. It would need to have good MPG; be relatively cheap to buy and run; made in the last 6 years. Any vehicles you recommend?

I thought you yanks loved the KIA.

Every bleedin' KIA forum on the internet appears to be chaired by you lot and no one ever seems to fault 'em.

    American cars really that bad?o_O

@FeelTheBern Take no bloody notice of the above quote. Until they tell you what goes on the introduction page of the owner's manual.

    Bus and Train schedules.:Hilarious

So I guess your kids are named Kia, Robin, Adam and Zoe. Am I correct?

    Wrong on the gong!

One son named Bentley, and three girls one called Mercedes, a second christened Porsche and a third named Chelsea after the tractors.:D

At least none of them are named Prius. If you name your kid Prius, you are basically asking Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin to punch him in the face.

I considered Duster, but not Skoda ( the acceleration of the tractor and those back seats...). Duster is value for money.

Nothing unless you have to seat there often. Found them uncomfortable. OH found driving sluggish. We also tested Duster Ambiance and only because OH is fond of Fords and we really use it on the Rock rather than driving in Spain we got that tiny Ford.
Think Duster was good value too.

I might consider Lexus to be a suitable name for girl. Lexus being from the same stable as the Toyota Prius of course, but I would hope the little filly had a bit more spirit.;)

The Skoda Octavia estate I went across Ireland in was very painful felt every bump in the road. Never again.

I looked at a Yeti (good sized boot) it was very basic inside (not comfy seats, not nice dash). Like it on the outside and the price but inside, no no no no no.

I've only driven Volvos for the last 16 years, various models so am a bit out of touch. Did test drive a VW Tourag for a weekend many moons ago, liked it but bought a XC70 instead.

Hubby wants one of these http://www.maserati.co.uk/maserati/gb/en/models/levante but they've never put a tow hitch on one and not sure if Mont's crate will fit.
