Urghhh we have Ants ! Our Kitchen has Ants crawling around, they are everywhere. There's a nest outside & they are coming in somehow.
We can't put poison down coz of our Dog.

Any idea of getting rid of them horrid things ?

boiling water from the kettle in the nest will kill them :)

Ants aren't horrid, they are an amazing creature.
How any animal lover can pour boiling water onto any creature I will never know :(
Give them a food source outside (a blob of jam) and they will have no need to come inside

You can buy Nippon, put them down under cupboard but were your animals cant get to. Pour boiling hot water down the nest that will kill the majority of them off, then do the same again the following day too.

I agree with Rona, I put food outside for them and we have a few nests in the garden but no ants in the house. I wouldn't dream of boiling them alive and the sparrows help keep them under control.

I dont like it either but I cant leave a blob of jam in back garden due to Bella and all ants nests are out front in paving slabs. Yes I could leave some out front but again Bella will just eat it when I take her out or the local roaming dogs will?

Im sorry but I just dont like a house full and I mean full-all way upstairs etc of ants. :frown:
