urgent advice RE Litter and kittens
I have just had a neighbor at my door a cat & so far 2 kittens has been found at a local nursery, I have agreed to take them in
Now I have not seen them as yet they are going to be dropped to me in a while,
Now they have been outside so are going to need warming up

I thought about hot water bottles under bedding,
Towels going in the dryer to warm them up
Getting kitten food for mum,

They will need taking to the vet to be checked but will allow them to settle & warm for a day or 2 first, then take them up for check up & to get my checked to see if chipped,

Ive had litters of kittens from my own cats before but never a strange cat,
So advice needed,

Also in case mum is feral advice on feral cats would be great,

Very good of you to take them in
The plans you have in place sound fine - having foster cat and kittens isn't much different to having your own. You will need to ensure that mum thinks her kittens are in a safe place or she may try to move them. If she is feral she may not allow any contact so getting them to a vet might prove difficult. I would disturb them as little as possible once you have them in their safe room until you know how friendly the mum is. You could plug a Feliway diffuser into their room to help keep her calm.
Warming them, make sure that the water bottle isn't too hot and there is room to move away to a cooler spot. A microwave heat pad is good too but again not too hot.

Do you know how old they are?

Thank you so much for advice,
& from what I gather just a few days if that, so going to be a long 8 weeks,
The mother cat is letting one person go near her at the nursey, they are trying to box them as I type, so could be here very soon,
Just hope kittens are ok,

Will keep you update,

Ps has to be water bottles we dont have a microwave lol

& will look into getting plug in if she is stressed or scared thankfully of to pet shop later for cat food for mine lol

mum and 2 kittens safe upstairs, dont think she is feral far from it, will give her time to settle down & then pop her up the vets to get her chip checked,
kittens not as young as told either as both have eyes open id say about a week old

Thank you all,
Well both mum & kittens are doing fine, Mum will be going up to the vets with the kittens tomorrow for a chip check, wanted her to settle in first,

Kittens both very playful as is mum, cant believe how friendly she is, Daughter thinks to much so due to being woke up this morning at 5am wanting fresh water! shed done a full bowl due to feeding kittens no doubt!

Now there is a side of me that believes the following

about a week ago my friend said his nieces cat had 3 kittens but one was not well, could I help,
I said no as I had 5 cats,

Fast forward they need my help due to kittens and mum found in nursery,
Knowing i wouldn't let an animal suffer,

I am told they have been outside but they arrive not in a box but in a cat travel box, they are as warm as toast, and the drive from nursery is 5 mins away, I asked for a letter from the boss about them being found at the nursery and didn't get one!

I think ive been had,
BUT least kittens and mum safe with me, will look for new home for mum after kittens have gone as with 5 cats a dog & 2 kids with special needs house is kinda full !

Mmm - very suspicious circumstances :skep: You have a big heart and it sounds as if someone took advantage of your kind nature.
I wish you lots of joy with these kittens wherever they came from.
