Chatting to another member earlier and a question came up about the population of Finland as apposed to the uk. I found a site with the information and was quite shocked
    UK
Population (2009 est.): 61,113,205 (growth rate: 0.3%); birth rate: 10.6/1000; infant mortality rate: 4.8/1000; life expectancy: 79.0; density per sq km: 652

Density per sq km. 652 :yikes::yikes:
How many more can we support?

Not a clue but we need to slow down. It's getting ridiculous imo.

Would be completely impossible. We rely too heavily on importing produce anyway.

Not really a surprise tbh. It amazes me how some people manage to live in deserted countryside with those statistics :p

Did you know that only 5% of the UK has been built upon, that includes domestic property, industrial, carparks, roads, railways, airports etc... I was quite shocked by that, I thought it would've been much higher.

Compulsory sterilisation is the way to go! it's nothing to do with the miniscule number of immigrants/migrants :D

It must be very peaceful where you are Rona

Great link - Where I live it's 1475 per KM, however that covers a town and several villages. So with in that it varies quite a lot.

I didn't realize only 5% was built on - thx for that Alphadog.
Did you know that approx 60% of food consumed in the UK is produced here. Compared to only 12% in Japan.
