Turtle "codes"

    Hi all. I'm about to buy my first turtle but I am confused by the code "CF" used on some livestock lists. Can anyone help?

    It means Captive Farmed.

    That's great, thanks. What's the difference between captive bred and captive farmed?

    captive bred was bred in captivity from parents living in captivity. Captive farmed iirc is where they gather up mothers from the wild and get the babies that way

    No, you are much better with a CB animal imo :)
