Have emailed the property owner and they sent me a form to fill in. I told them I couldn't do anything online because I'm not computer savvy, so he says that's fine, fill it in and take it with me

Just had to tell him that I can't, I don't have a printer............I think he thinks I'm having him on :(

He also wants payment by direct banking method but I don't have internet banking either

That sounds odd. Is this direct with the owner? Because you also won;t have any protection if you pay via BACS (which you can do by calling your bank or popping in).
Does it have to be this property?

Surely if you can write an email, post on a forum- you can fill in a form .........

Going to say it sounds abit far fetched.

Any other places available? You are sometimes best not going direct to the owner of the place but rather a 3rd party which will be more savvy with their customers

Is it? Fair enough, I wasn't aware. We nearly booked through them, but didn't so I didn't get that far.

Also, if she has to fill in the form, I assume she has to print it, fill it in, scan it then email back? Which is a right faff! Or she would have just filled it in online.

If you pay by credit card you have protection for amounts over £100. A bank transfer is the same as handing money over. I'd check the website and seen what guarantees there are if anything goes wrong.

You don't need internet banking to make a bank transfer. You can do that in a branch or over the phone. (I will add though that doing a bank transfer is as good as just giving the person cash, so you are not protected consumer wise. Its often not advisable in this situation).

    How?
If OH tried to show me and he didn't even get it right.
I've been ill this week and my concentration and temper are very very short ;)

I have actually got one but would only ever use it for dog or car.
    Anyway, he doesn't take cards

He is registered on a very reputable holiday cottage site but is doing a 3 night break when normally it would be only 7 night breaks. :D He has registered my stay already on that site

Sometimes in this life, you just have to trust o_O

I have spent hours and hours online looking for places to go this year and this is only one of 4 that I've found and the only one available this particular weekend

Can't you get OH to fill in the form online for you :) (if you're to grumpy to be shown how ;) )
I would think doing bookings online is the "norm" for most people these days, so i'm not suprised that this is how the chap has everything set up.
If you pop in the bank they can make the payment for you :) (Although that's assuming there is a branch still open near you)
