Hi Everyone, Hope you and you lovely dogs are enjoying the Spring weather today.
We bought Luna a new toy yesterday. It was a stuffed football with tuggy handles on each side. After playing tuggy briefly she ran off with the toy to her bed to play with it. I popped into the kitchen to put a pizza in the oven and returned to this!! I'd like to say she looked guilty but she clearly finds it all very amusing!! :D At least she had fun! My son always puts on a cheeky Luna voice and says "Shoddily made!" when Luna shreds a toy. He was upstairs on his Xbox online with friends so I sent the pics by WhatsApp with the message "Look Jack, shoddily made!!'.:D

Reminds me of another Golden I used to know.

Luckily, this present one keeps toys for years

Our neighbours have a lovely Rough Collie. He has one of the little orange knitted style teddy toys from Morrisons. He has had it for years and we see it on the washing line. Our floor is 'Headless orange teddy land'!!!

Isla’s not too bad. Some toys have lasted for years others seem to have to be nibbled and nibbled til she makes a little hole just right for defluffing. She was a defluffer when younger so I bought some unstuffed toys, flat rabbit and flat duck. It seemed to largely stop her from pulling them apart

Luna does this too. She nibbles a hole and pulls the fur out. She is not happy until she pulls the squeaker out of toys. Then she holds it in her mouth looking at you as if to say "You had better quickly trade this for a treat before I choke!!" If you don't notice straight away, she spits the squeaker on your knee then quickly scoops it up again and gives the look!!!

Destuffing toys is what they're for isn't it? :D

Tango's mission in life was to destroy the squeak! Santa brought her a sqeaky reindeer one Christmas Eve and she de-squeaked it in 5 minutes. Once the squeak had gone she completely lost interest.
Reena's had the same toys for years, she's much more gentle.
I'm sure that toy of Luna's exploded spontaneously.:D
