    It is, undoubtedly, a serious crash. Latest news suggests three dead and six 'not seriously injured'. Very unfortunate, but nothing compared to the really horrendous constant, ongoing, slaughter and carnage on our roads which seem just to be accepted!! Rail travel is incredibly safe: I speak as an ex-locomotive driver and feel great sympathy for the dead and injured.

    I’ve just seen it on the news :( 3 dead apparently and 6 seriously injured. They said it was quieter due to lockdown and normally it’s one of the busiest lines

    Yes Rail is one of the safest ways to travel, that why it's a shock when something like this happens. Now thankfully retired my husband was a locomotive driver and worked at Saltley for over 45 years.
