I've just got a beautiful little kitten. We have named her Candita. She is all Tortie, no white bits. Is that unusual? I've never seen it before, have you? Please let us know. I'll look forward to your replies.

My old girl Winnie was all tortie and had the tortie attitude too, i don't think it's that's unusual but i do think they are beautiful.
    Can we see a pic?
Here's my girl, i lost her almost 5 years ago at the age of 19.

My Arya is a tortie with no white. I also would love to see pics of little Candita

She's gorgeous a proper tortie! Torties shouldn't have white patches that would make her a three colour Calico like this. True tortie colouring is more flecks than bold patches.

I think Calico is more an Americanism. My Brooke was listed as Torby/White by Cats Protection (Tortoiseshell, Tabby and White):

It is the very best colouring though.;)

Not unusual at all, or 'incorrect' tortie colouring. Calico is an American term, tortie or tortie and white is correct for most other countries.

    Lovely tortie pics :)

IMG_9323.JPG This was my tortie Mitzi sleeping on her beloved jiffy bag. I love torties.

Torties can be brindle like Mitzi, or tortie & white (or calico) like Soozi's cat, or they can also be brindled with white patches.

Specifically I love brindle torties. But to be honest I love all cats. The cat I have now is grey & white and I love him anyway!
