To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine....

And those who don't and are always
seen with a bottle of water in their hand......

    As Ben Franklin said:
    In wine there is wisdom,
    In beer there is freedom,
    In water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials,
Scientists have demonstrated that if we drink
1 litre of water each day,
At the end of the year we would have absorbed
More than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria
    Found in feces.
In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

    However,
We do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer
(or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor)
Because alcohol has to go through a purification process
    Of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

    Remember:
    Water = Poop,
    Wine = Health
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,
Than to drink water and be full of $hit..

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information:
I'm doing it as a public service

    I'll second that.

Plus, did you know that drinking wine instead of water is a good way to save money in these desperate times!

A bottle of Evian (100ml) is 50p in Tesco.

A bottle of red wine (750ml) is £3.25.

If the wine were in a 100ml bottle (like the Evian), it would work out to just 43p.

That's a 7p saving compared to the water!

    Save Money = Drink Wine!

    :D

That may well be true, but, there was also another study which concluded that if you were to also drink a litre of wine each day, you really wouldn't give a damn what was in the water.

On a related note to devotee's of the splendid wines of the new world, the UK market has recently been flooded (not literally of course!) by fake bottles of Jacob's Creek. Apart from the characteristically awful taste, a fake bottle can easily be identified by the spelling of 'Austrlia' on the label.

I bought a genuine bottle (made sure, checked the label, it clearly said "Australia").

By the time I'd finished it, it had turned into a fake!

Can I get a refund now I am sober?

    :)

"If we drink we shall die
If we don't drink we shall die
So we might as well say "what the hell"
    And raise our glasses high...."

Just something my stepdad sings on a regular basis - usually when drinking!
