    With regards to the barking...simple answer as far as I can see. Adopt another dog? Lurchers are extreamly sociable animals and he's obviously missing canine company. :D;)

    Try making a sound when he barks something that makes him stop and then say quiet. He's a gorgeous dog.

    Thnx, we've got a high-pitched whistle thing, he doesn't like it, i'll give it a go blowing the whistle and saying quiet after his second bark. (don't mind him barking once to let us know, its the constant barking that isn't working)

    Any other advice?
