    death changes everything
    time changes nothing
i still miss the sound of your voice
    the wisdom in your advice
    the stories of your life
and just being in your presence
    so no time changes nothing
i miss you as much today
as i did the day you died
    i just miss you

I had my own notion of grief
I thought it was the sad time
    that followed the death of
    someone you love
and you had to push through it
to get to the other side
but im learning there is no other side
    there is no pushing through
    but rather
    there is absorbtion
    adjustment
    acceptance
and grief is not something you complete
    but rather you endure
grief is not a task to finish
    and move on
    but an element of yourself
    an alteration of your being
    a new way of seeing
    a new definition of self

that is about it too.I dont think you ever get over it you just get used to it.Time doesn't heal it per say.You just get used to it.It becomes a part of life and thats why it seems to get easier. Its like exercising. When you are out of shape it is hard to run a mile but you keep working at it and eventually you can do it easily.Your body gets used to it.
