So, tier 4 restrictions say stay local.
I have no idea what they mean by local, particularly as they also say there's no travel restrictions to do several activities including exercise.

So, What would you call local?
Your county, your local authority, your town or village?

To your village or town I think, also don’t leave tier 4 to another tier

I dont see many people sticking to it to be honest. Its unenforceable, it depends on people doing what they're told

It seemed easier to decipher when we were in tier two!

I have to travel about 10miles to my friend, and will continue to do so, but we were booked to go to the beach on New Years Day 30 miles away but in the same county

In Scotland, local means stay in your local authority area, if that is any help.

However, it's mad because where i live the local authority area is massive.

I think 5 miles from home would be a more sensible definition. That is what we had before and it makes far better sense.

I just stay within the area where the tier applies which is often the county.

Every county surrounding us is tier4
So, theoretically, I can travel almost anywhere, and still be in the same tier
    But
I would say staying within a 5 mile radius of my small market town is local
    However
Seeing as Matt and I have been out only a handful of times since march, mainly to addenbrookes and back, no stopping inbetween
    For us
Local probably means same as every day, maximum distance being, just up and down the road walking the dogs
