I have a 2 year old Golden Retriever. Every month I squeeze a small amount of Frontline tick & flea on to the back of her neck but it creates a peculiar reaction in her.
She seems to sense what I am going to do before I get anywhere near to her and after I have given it she will not come anywhere near me for hours. She won’t touch her food or come into the same room as me and yet both these things are quite out of character.
Has anybody else experienced this? I am coming to dread this monthly upset.

Is it possible she dislikes the sensation, enough to avoid you afterwards too? My dog did and a simple fix for us was to carry the pipette around tucked into my clothing for 10 minutes before using it, to bring it up to body temperature.

One of mine hates it too. Not sure if it's the sensation of the cold liquid, the smell of the chemicals, or the feel of the chemicals. I swapped to a tablet instead and haven't had a problem, and you don't get that residue on their coat either.

I use one called Simparica but I’m not in the UK so not sure if you have the same brand there. Your vet will be able to advise :)

Yes I think the ones my vet supplies are Easecto too. I think they are the MiPet brand but different vets will have different brands with practically the same ingredients.
