Hello all.

Many of us are concerned - angry - at Vertical Scope's introduction of new features, and even more so at their lack of meaningful response to our questions. For example, several of us have asked questions about the new AI (inclusing what data it collects, how that will be used, how we can opt out) but these have been glossed over or ignored. Also, we have challenged their claims that the 'how many reading feature' was brought back by popular demand. The feature itself is immaterial, but I for one am unhappy at being told blatant lies to justify its reintroduction.

Any protests against new features are stonewalled, ignored, glossed over or deleted/censored.

So, I am asking you to please join me in a week long embargo on posting, except where necessary to respond to urgent requests for help.

Vertical Scope measures its success on the number of posts made, a protest like this will show what happens when they abuse the goodwill of the members.

If you are unsure whether to participate, I would urge you to please read the threads linked below.

Thank you to everyone who stands with me in sending this important message.

I’m conflicted on this one. I know I complained about the new feature and have been critical of VS and I stand by all that, but I’m also one who’s not sure how much difference this will make, though I applaud the effort.

There’s also things such as poorly cats to keep an eye on and we’ve had recent bereavements, so for me personally it feels a bit wrong to disappear right now (not that me being online or not makes a huge difference, I realise that).

So yes I know it’s a bit illogical but that’s where my head is at the moment 😬

I have had a few emails from " head office " ;) recently encouraging me to check out the forum again I assume because I dont post as regularly as I used to .This makes me think that lack of posting is an issue for them especially if it is on a thread that normally attracts a lot of posts so even if it is only a token gesture where we only reply to necessary threads it might just make them realise that we , the members are not happy .
Even the posting on the threads concerning this very issue will not be helping VS if more people are being encouraged to check it out .
