today we had a long-ish walk around the local playing fields where he was running like a looney and playing with some big bouncy dogs

then tonight when he went on his night walk he appears to have a limp/ almost looks like he is getting cramp in the back right hind leg.

is this ok to leave or should I pop him in the vets tomorrow morning

or just give him plenty of rest

has anyone had any experience of this

It sounds like he may have just pulled a muscle. I would leave him for tonight and if hes still limping tomorrow give your vet a quick call and ask for advice, they may ask you to bring him in to quickly to check he hasnt done any damage :)

Glad Toby seems to have gotten over all his serious health issues and is well enough to be running around and playing now. Did you find out what the problem was in the end? He may just have over done it or pulled something as long as he doesnt seem in serious pain and the limps not really bad, you could try resting him up for a day or two to see if its any better, if not or it is really bothering him best to get it checked out.
