That is so awful, poor Oliver! Its so sad when people react like that for no reason, just from something they have read

The mail man still loved him though.Of course Oliver loved him too.He got treats from him.Oliver would pull me to the mail truck when ever he seen it parked somewhere and we couldnt leave until the mail man came back and Oliver got his treat.

I have just noticed that this post has come back to life after a couple of years so thought I would post an update.

Very sadly, we lost our beloved Poppy in October 2017 at not even 3 years old to suspected brain damage. As previously posted, she was a real handful but as she got older it became apparent that it was more than just her character shining through. Not long after she turned 2 she became mostly incontinent and quite unpredictable and restless, she had every check imaginable except an MRI due to a cost of £3000 and our insurance company refusing to pay a penny. It would have been a long shot as her behaviour and incontinence were so bad we were 99% sure that it all would be incurable anyway as was clearly in her brain. We sent videos and descriptions to the neurologists at Noel Fitzpatricks clinic who said they would advise us against an MRI as she was clearly very distressed and they were sure the only outcome could be brain damage and we had utilised every other option.
It was one of the most heart breaking things that we've ever had to do, she was our first dog and to see her deteriorate as quickly as she did was just horrific. We both still feel a lot of guilt at not being able to help her but there truly was nothing else we could have done.

Our other dog, Rusty (in the photos also) is still going strong and at 4 years old is a total character. I'm sure he misses Poppy just as much as we do <3
