A lot of you know I've not been well , but things are looking much brighter at last.
I wanted to make this thread as a reminder to those who are still struggling that 'life can get better'. Yes I still get off days but everyone gets those. You just greet each new day as though its the beginning again.

I wanted to share with you all the things that helped my recovery and still are.

Firstly my friends...and you all know who you are. People that remain positive despite their own troubles. My children...who had to suffer the real brunt of me and then last but not least my lil fluffies, especially my 2 little dogs who are completely irreplaceable in every way. They cuddle me at night and they follow me all day with waggy tails.

I've also finally gotten around to working on my house and adding 'my special touch' lol.....and I wanted to share that little part of me with you all....call it a trip through calmness, madness and downright filth :w00t:

First off, you won't have failed to notice my errr 'sense of humour' and this is also displayed about my rooms
    [IMG]

    bathroom reading

    more 'little room' reading

Then there are the inspirational quotes and feel good reminders

2 gifts from 2 special forum members always displayed on my dressing table

a plate of shortbread....made by my daughter cos she knows I like them :)

Determined to get back on one of these :001_tt1: hanging on my stairs

Another gift from a friend x

I've let the calm inside me flow out into my lounge and created a room where we relax and chill out....no formalities in here...put your feet up and lay out and listen to the clock tick...the buntings are to celebrate what we have..I have several throughout the house....enough! says my daughter

    In my hall

lastly I've had some helped from prozac....its not the path we choose but its a kinder path than living the nightmare day in and day out. Don't be afraid to try new things and be grateful for what you have x

I hope you enjoyed the tour

feel free to add your own positive thoughts and experiences.....

:huh:I was never really aware Lavs.

And I'm very sorry for my bumbling ignorance.:blushing:

    You should have told me.

I have healing hands you know

And would have dearly loved to have laid them upon you.

    (it's a positive thought.....innit? :001_unsure: )

Your home looks fantastic hun! im really pleased you are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel ......if you can after what you have been thru anyone can! .......you truly are an inspiration ....it makes me quite emotional :crying:..... and gives me hope that things can and do get better ....im still coming through my tunnel at the moment - good days and bad days but...reading how other people overcome such big hurdles really does help!

I love inspirational quotes etc  here is one or two I live by at the moment and that give me comfort ....

"In any situation, the best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing"
