The first dog I had as an adult family man was a gorgeous golden lab. She was very distinctive. She had a blue spot on her tounge and a half inch wide stripe of darker fur along her nose. I had her for around 3 weeks before I noticed a small spot of oil on her rear end. I spent some time trying to clean it off. Then the penny dropped. I could have spent a life time trying to remove it. It was a tiny patch of black fur.
