This cannot possibly turn sour (I hope!)

What is your favourite toast topping? See?! Told you it was boring!!

I like hot buttered toast. Controversially, I just had some to accompany my chicken broth

It's multiple choice so press your buttons and gamble away!

I ticked marmite, jam, pate, peanut butter and other. The other being cheese. I don't have it that often but love it when I do. My husband has the weirdest combination on toast, cheese, tomato and wait for it .................. peanut butter! Don't know what ever possessed him to put them together in the first place.

    I'm sure I can oblige ;)

Marmite, with processed peas squished on top, has to be wholemeal bread.

Butter, but the toast has to be cold before the butter is spread on the toast, can't stand soggy buttered toast :frown2:

I voted for butter, marmite, pate (with fancy letters ;) ) and other - which is marmalade.

    Thick cut :yesnod:

Other also covers cheese, but I dont think cheese on toast counts for this poll if you then melt the cheese, so if we are going for spreadable stuff only - Dairlylea on toast is

I like jam and peanut butter (sometimes together) but I don't think you can beat cheese on toast for it's comfort factor. Multigrain wholemeal bread with a nice cheddar, melted until it's golden brown and bubbling, maybe with tomatoes or onions underneath, mmm.

I'm very easy going about most things but anyone who disagrees with this irrefutable fact is clearly wrong. Or vegan. Or maybe gluten intolerant. But mostly wrong. :p

    I voted butter only.

There's nothing so homely as the smell of hot buttered toast and nothing so scrumptious as hot buttered Tea cakes.

So I voted for most options! Not disagreeing with anything or anyone today! ;)

Son likes 3 slices of toast - one with marmite, one with jam and one with peanut butter. He does the same with crumpets.

Me? Well I like my toast with grilled soft cod roe on. Yum. Till you remind yourself what it is.
