    Coming back from the Liberty, Owl and Raptor centre (pictures for another thread)last Friday we stumbled across this.

    many local villages here do it too

    it can be a bit unnerving

    From what I can gather they were trying to raise money for the village hall. I thought it lovely that the community would club together to help.

    Here are some more. It's seems that I missed quite a few as there is an article about it in Take A Break from last week with lots more pictures.

    I can understand that but no more unnerving than spooky potatoes from the back of the cupboard.:D

    I love the teddy's, the bed & the waitress. A very smart village hall.
    They have Scarecrow fests in Devon & Cornish villages as well.
    Never had a camera on me to take pics of them though, sadly.

    I love scarecrow festivals. It's great to see how artistic people are for the benefit of their community.

    Some of the scarecrows can be quite spooky in the sense that they look 'real' but that's the beauty of them :D

    Either you're very, very small or your handbag is very, very big. :001_unsure:

    If it's on the large side how does your handbag get around?

    Does it have holes in the bottom to put your legs through. :confused1:

    WOW great creations.. I like all these statues because some of them are looking very real in first sight. Anyhow thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. I love them.
