Today is the One Year mark since losing Misha, my tabby and white boy, in a house fire aged just 18 months.

It barely feels like 10 minutes since that horrible day yet so much has happened. We have moved home 3 times, lost Max our springer, lost most of our possetions...

though not all bad, we have gained Gypsy Rose, Mabel now lives in the house, Loki has joined the family. My niece was born....

I would just like to remember Misha and share a little of him with everyone.

He was a 'free to good home' kitten, 8-10 weeks old, underweight, anaemic, smothered in fleas, lice and mites and with an earmite infestation so bad it left him partially deaf. He lost over 100g in worms too.

However he was the sweetest boy in the universe, adored cuddles and was truly a pure soul, an angel sent to earth.

He complained and wailed about everything but habit not real distress - his nickname was the 'little air raid siren'

He was so sweet and trusting and believed in everyone - I may have only had 16 months with him but he made them a fun, love and laughter filled 16 months and has forever altered my world.

With his fabulous Greta Garbo make-up and winning smile he was a little stunner, even if he did only have vague tabby splodges :p

Misha baby, I miss you and hope you aren't being *too* noisy at the Bridge! xxx

I'm sorry, that must have been such a horrible experience. :(
He's a stunning cat, I love the picture of him with the christmas presents.

In memory of Misha, he was lucky to have a wonderful mum who will never forget him. I hope you're happily catching butterflies at the bridge little guy.

thank you so much for all your kind words *hugs*

Misha is never going to be forgotten and in fact is becomming part of the designs in my new business, I think it is a great way to remember him and it keeps him included - all the cats are being used in the design work.

This is the modern art portrait I did of him - it's framed on my wall with a poem

Your story bought tears to my eyes, I'm so sorry you had to lose your lovely cat in such a way. it sounds like he had a very happy home with you, so both of you were lucky. I lost my beautiful cat 2 years ago now & not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I hope this day goes by swiftly & it's not too painful for you-thanks for posting such beautiful pictures, so we can all see what a handsome young chap he was.
