    I can't wait anymore!!

Recently i had to disect a Rat, it was horrible, i named her dolly she was really beautiful, and she was pregnant. She had a total of 18 babies bless her the thought of the mother being gased whilst she knew she was pregnant and struggleing for that final breath.

I got a grade A* in the test though apparently im a expert in taking out the liver!

Anyway my mum is so proud of me for doing this! so she said she might get me some rats.

The other day in the paper it has been said that the blue smarties/MnM's are good for people with back problems, so to test this they broke a load of rats backs and injected the ingredients for the blue stuff and they wasn't 'suffering'
Mum hates the idea of rats being used for this so said she wants to get me 4 lab rats.

My friend has some Lab rats and they are stunning little things!!
I want some ^^ and so does mum, so rats are next on the list!!

I can't wait to get them!! I'm getting 4 boys, and i don't know were they are going as i broke the jenny cage :/
when i got it out the loft i dropped the base and its snapped beyond repair :)
    im so clumsy:p

I dont know when i am getting them yet though so no pics or a deffinate date.

I also have my eye on a little syrian hamster called pheonix, my 'mate' bought him a while ago and isn't looking after him properly, or to my standered so i have warned him to look after him or else!!

    xx

    Yes you can !!

    It's lovely to do it!

Ohh wow i'm sure i will, what sort of stuff will you be selling.

Im totally against animal cruelty including testing on them, even for medicine whats wrong with herbal remedies.

Like taking painkillers for swelling is silly when you have the method devlis claw, get rid of pain and swelling within 10-15 mins i can tell you that from experience!!

Right imma going to stop waffeling on at you :p

Do you still have to disect things in school? I refused to disect the lungs, heart and eyes at school and never got told off. I told them I thought it was cruel so they let me sit at the back and read. I thought it had been stopped at schools though.

we didnt disect at school but i have disected rats, pidgeons, lungs, hearts, livers, kidneys etc, even a bearded dragon. all at uni, it was a bit upsetting but you have to get on with it really.

Yeah it still goes on at school

I didn't want to do it, but i wanted to do it. if that makes sense?

i only wated to do it for the expeirince as i want to become a vet that specialises in rodents.

So i would have to do it in uni and college anyway :)

Where will you take on these "lab" rats from? Most labs euthanize their animals once they are past use.

Rats are marvellous animals to have and so intelligent. Did you know and a vet told me this that all domestic rats are bred from one original pair of lab rats..amazing I think :)

A friend of mine takes in ex lab rats, and I myself take in lab mice that were scheduled for termination on the strict promise that I won't ever breed them. It is very rewarding. :)
