Ok so my Dad and I have figured out why Jess won't walk on lead, two reasons...
Number one is she hates any tension/pulling at all, even a tiny bit by mistake she she won't walk anymore..
Next, and the main one,is that she only walks on grass, I have no idea why..she is terrified of concrete, paths, roads and tarmac or anything besides grass..she literally loves food and is flying through recall,pre-agility and house training, tricks..everything. But she won't go on anything but grass even for a high value treat..she cowers and won't move if I try and walk her on paths or roads etc. :/
I'm confused, I really am. I'm wondering why this has happened, she's trained using positive reinforcement, walked on a harness and offered treats and praises when she walks nicely..I just want to get her over the fear and walking like she walks on grass!!

Might be wrong, but my first thought is joint pain or similar, how old is she? Hard surfaces don't have the same give in them that soft ones do, which means the body has to absorb more of that stress itself. And how are her nails length-wise? Long nails result in dogs standing slightly off (may be only a very small difference compared to normal) which can amplify the above.

Could it be more that she’s scared of cars and associates hard surfaces with roads/pavements and therefore, cars?

Is this a new thing or has she always done this?
    How old is she?

Could her feet have become uncomfortably hot on tarmac during the summer?
