OK, so I know a few (poss more) on here that do not like Andy Murray. But who will be watching him and cheering him on to win today and be the first Brit in the final for about 70 years??

Me personally, I will be supporting him for this reason and also cos he is a fellow Scot and considering what he went through in his childhood (the Dunblane disaster for those of you who remember) he has come a long way!!

    Go Andy!!! :D:D:D

Oh, I know....thats the only thing that puts me off womens tennis. It's like they compete to see who can groan the loudest! There's really no need :D

Yep, last Brit to win a final was 1936 I think, and the last Brit to get to the final was 1938.

Yes, it is Haas v Federer first, then Roddick v Murray! I hope Tommy Haas beats Federer! :D

Here you go, a wimbledone link, no need to leave PF to watch it, the score is under the picture ;)

Murray lost the first set :( Off to watch it and pack for my weekend away.

    Go Team Murray!!!

Best man on the day won. I thought Roddick would be a tough one but his serve was absolutely immense today.

    I'm gutted ... :nonod:

    My weekend looks like this:-

~ The Williams show tomorrow :)

~ Followed by the Lions :) they may overlap, will have to check

~ Sunday, Fed v Rod. I want Roddick to win, if he played like to today and up another gear he could sneak it, but I won't bet the house on it ;)

I'm taking the kids to my mums caravan for the weekend, so that'll make up for me being in front of the telly all through Saturday and Sunday afternoon, fingers crossed it doesn't rain.

    I'm gutted too :(

Would like Roddick to win now though as I'm not too keen on Federer.

Sammyben ~ I wanted Roddick to win to justify Murray losing to the winner of the tournament. Not to be :(. I thought Roddick did really well but Federer had the edge over him with his fitness in the last set. He was extremely gracious in defeat.

Well done to Federer on getting to 15 grand slams, that's some achievement.

Did anyone see the sign in the crowd?! Said something like 'Go On Andy Murray' and when Murray lost they scribbled out Murray and put 'Roddick', made me lol!

I wish Nadal had been fit. To be honest, I think its just as well Murray didn't get too far this time because he would have a lot to live up to from then onwards, and everyone would say he didn't get to the final/win properly as he didn't play last years winner, Nadal. I think he will get better as time goes on and peak in a few years time when he is slightly older, he's already bloomin' good though!
