I had a tooth removed today, only my 2nd ever to be removed.

Whilst there I asked my dentist about 1 of my teeth that has never really grown to full size, turns out that it and the one above it is a baby tooth. So I have 2 baby teeth at 23 years old, I haven't ever had pain/ filling or any issue with either of the baby teeth.

    Strange.

I have 2 baby teeth (I'm 44). When I had them xrayed it turned out that I had no permanent teeth behind them. It runs in our family. My grandad was 97 when he passed away with his baby teeth intact!

I don't have any baby teeth, I think I lost alot of them when I was young and then the rest when my dentist decided that I needed to have some teeth removed to make room for a brace,:( I was 10 at the time and later found out that he took out 12  teeth and 5 years later admitted to making a mistake when only half of them grew back. :nonod:
It turned out most of them were adult teeth not baby, very quickly changed dentist after that, finally had a brace fitted and 27 years later have needed my first filling.:(

It was the very last tooth on the top left hand side, however the 1st ever tooth I had removed was the last tooth on the bottom on the left so the tooth I had removed today wasn't really being used anyway.

The dentist was very good, numbed my gums that much that my face went numb too. But because I'm on blood thinners it's still bleeding quite alot, I've to give it until late tonight and if its' still bleeding I've to go to the hospital to have it stitched.:nonod:

I had it removed at about 11am, it's still bleeding now. They said give it until about 8-9pm before going up to the hospital, although they were hoping it would stop by 2pm. :/

Despite being on blood thinners my bloods quite thick today as I had my INR checked and I was 1.4 (usually around 2.5/3) so no idea why it's still bleeding.

Really don't want more people going in my mouth.:crying:

I also still have a baby tooth and am nearly 25. I don't have a tooth behind it so that is why it was never pushed out, so if it ever does fall out I have to have a false one in there.

It has been, it's slowing down a bit now. My hubby is home from work and keeping an eye on me now.
