Do you talk to your dog? I mean, proper conversations, not just telling it what to do.

I was just telling Kenzie how I was going to cook the pasta for a bit longer because then it will be softer for my teeth (I have adult braces)

    Am I losing my mind?

    Yes, of course!
I talk to all my pets (except the fish....Im not sure they could hear me through all the water!!LOL).
But the dogs are the only ones who get to hear about what Im having for dinner, who annoyed me at work and what the plans for the day are..

I'm always talking to Jet, there's nobody else here.
I love to watch his little ears twitch and the way he moves his head as if he's really listening. Guess I'm just the local mad old dog lady.

He wrote it all by himself too *proud*

Should anyone else want to see it he's posted it on Kenzies profile page

But to answer the question - yes!! I gathered them all together once and read them Watership Down (but I missed the sad parts out in case it upset my rabbit  )

    Oh dear

Oh, so glad it's not just me! I have full conversations with my dog (well, they may be a little one sided, but he moves his head in all the right places) and the OH has been taking the mick for aggeeess now, and then on Sunday morning I had gotten out of the shower and heard him downstairs talking to someone. I thought he was on the phone to his family and was thinking he was a bit barmy as he was talking about something well random (wish I could remember what it was). Anyway, I came downstairs and there he is deep in conversation with the dog! He admitted he has been chatting away to him in the mornings for a while now (he is always downstairs before me). The cheek of him mocking me when he is just as bad!

Glad it's made you smile :)

I explain everything to them  Even if they don't understand what I'm saying (which of course they DO) I just think it's nice for them to hear your voice and know you're around
