I took them for their first vaccinations last friday and found out the little one, 'Baby', has an ulcer in her eye. Her big sister caused it picking on her!! So shes had drops in twice a day and keeping my fingers crossed it has'nt gone any deeper. Still worried though!! as the vet said ulcers in the eye can get worse very quickly :(

I started them on friday so she has'nt had them for long but the vet wanted to see if they are starting to work and will tell me whether to continue or if something else has to be done. Fingers crossed and everything else!! she will only need to carry on with the drops.

Got back from the vets a while ago but had to sort the dogs and kids tea out
The vet said that she could see blood vessels where the ulcer is so that means its healing. I have to carry on with the drops and take her back again friday morning. My other half complained about me paying 25 quid for the vet just to look in babys eye but I said its better than her losing the eye!! I'd pay anything to make my dogs better :)

Took Baby back to the vets for checkup on eye today. They said theres no improvement and it has'nt got worse. Then she turned around and said the worst case cenario is that her eye will burst. I am now terrified that its gonna happen :(

I know!!! I don't like that vet anyway. She told me to take my pug back because she was disabled. I bought her because she was being sold under,' Pug for sale. Due to come into season'. She would have died if someone else had had her and bred her!!! I was hoping I would'nt get that vet when I saw she was there but my luck I had her lol. Grumpy cow as she is :) Babys eye is still ok. Still putting drops in and she seems comfortable :)

    Good
When I ring my vet, I always ask who is working and try and see the same vet all the time, unless it's urgent

Well the vet that seen her the first few times was in surgery but this vet I don't like took her through to her so she could see if the eye was better or worse. There are so many vets there I don't think after all these years of going there I have seen the same one twice for a long time lol.

That's why I chose my surgery, only two vets, but they are linked to a much bigger set up
They know Alfie and me

The ones I go to are the closest ones out of two. I have been thinking about changing but will it be to much hassle??

Not from what I've heard, I changed mine between dogs, because the last one kept having newly qualified vets that changed once a year.
    Is the other one better?
