Paddy my 3 year old cocker spaniel has a swelling above his anus, right at the bottom of his tale. I am beside myself with worry about what this could be. There is no smell, he’s having no problem going to the toilet and he’s eating normally.
Any ideas what this might be?

    Hi. Welcome to the forum.

Have you spoken to a vet? That should always be the first port of call if you're worried. :)

Moved this to Health and Nutrition, as you might get more answers there.

Is he entire? Anal adenomas occur in entire but not neutered males - it's hormone driven and can turn malignant if left.
It would be unusual in such a young dog though.
    See your vet.

Could it be an anal abscess? Pop along to your vet for a diagnosis
