Is there anyone here like me, who hates this weekly pennance.

I took a trolley, probably the only one with a mind of it's own, that refused to run in a straight line. Started shopping, went to get a TV listing mag, 2 people standing & reading one right in the way, so I politely asked them to move & got blank stares,:( had to reach around the womans skirt to get one.
Things were OK for a while, then in one aisle, a screaming toddler, having a temper tantrum & in the next one a screaming baby, both of whom should have been in bed at that time.:(
More people standing chatting, blocking the aisle where I wanted to walk!
A short queue at the checkout, thankfully, but the person in front couldn't find her credit card. Finally it was my turn, meanwhile, my Daughter, who had taken me was nowhere to be seen. Rang her, no reply! As I was paying she rang back, she hadn't finished her shopping as she had met so many people she knew & had been chatting to them!:(
I had to wait by the tills while she finished.
Oh! Boy! Do I hate doing the weekly shop!:(:frown::mad:

I order the food from Tescos online and get it delivered so much easier

With the cost of fuel now, we can have ours delivered for £4 about the same as driving there, and no hassle
    BLISS :D

I used to hate grocery shopping, then I discovered Sainsbury's Online :D
Try doing your weekly shop over the internet, you'll save time, money and hassle.

I can see doing it on line would be less stressful, but I like to see & chose my veg, fruit etc. myself, not rely on a stranger to do it for me.

I always go with my mum to do the shopping.
    I get so frustrated.
We always use the self checkout cos it's soo much easier.
Then some dozy **** comes along waiting to use it and making me feel uncomfortable, who usually can't wait while we put our shopping bags in the trolley.
I've come across various rude people doing the weekly shop, but silly me goes and shouts out how rude they are on purpose haha.
Then some people have a tendency to stare at me, I do always tend to ask if they have a problem, also other people who push pass me, I shout out, "You're welcome"

By the way, before you think bad of me, I'm usually a polite person, but what's the point in having manners when other people just don't, does my head in.

Maybe it does get easier, but you still don't chose for yourself what you get.

My vegetables come mostly from a local farm who do deliveries, totally organic, and we grow our own potatoes not much choice after Buster decided to take up gardening and planted some. Fruit I'm not so bothered about
