A couple of weeks ago I asked about indoor cats and collars. Now, after much discussion I decided against one but then, a couple of days later, Mum caught the Spooky one trying to escape out of her window during one of his crazed runaround moods!! :yikes:

I have got some Flat Cats coming- hopefully within the next week- but I am reluctantly trialling a 'just in case' collar for now, to see how it goes. And what better for my boy than a Superman one?! :D

    The collar:

And now, lots of photos of Superman himself :001_wub:

    Looking very special ;) -

    Microchipped and proud!

But instead, looking totally and utterly scrummy!

Keep giggling at him, as it doesn't suit his little wimpy self :D

You look really posh Spooks. If he's been trying to get out of the window, he obviously already thinks he can fly!!

I think he looks gorgeous....but then he can carry most looks off.
I am still a fan of collars and tags and all of mine (part from Woody ) wear them. Your average person just will not always make the effort to take a cat to a vet to be scanned, but they will read a tag on a collar.
Just last week Mitzy somehow escaped and one of my neighbours saw her in the garden late at night. Her exact words were 'I knew it was her because of her tag' so she came straight round and let me know and I was able to retrieve Mitzy without delay.

This was my reasoning, too, especially after Mum caught him with his head out of the window!! :yikes: (The windows weren't a problem before but we've just had new ones fitted which open from the bottom so he'd be straight onto the windowsill  )

I guess it's a case of better safe than sorry. My area isn't a big animal loving one, to be honest, I don't know how many people will even know what microchipping is! However, if he was to escape- which I hope he never, ever does!- I feel our chances of being reunited would be much better with the tag. I tried to make it sound like it was urgent with the 'if found' wording too

He doesn't seem too bothered by it. He's scratched at it a little bit and was very confused when the tag banged on his food bowl (looked around to see who was making the noise! ) but is lounging around and being his usual Spooky self :)

    Good luck with that!

I'm afraid the collar has not granted him superpowers . I've just watched him pounce on a spider then run a mile when it moved  Still, he has time to learn... :D

Ooh, just look at that innocent little face, surely you have the wrong cat!, I cannot believe the cat in those pictures has 'crazed' moments

Just love that collar, maybe Spooks superpower is lulling people into a false sense of security :D
