I have a 3 year old cat, its a short hair mixed breed. just today it started to drool all day long, drops of saliva coming straight out of his mouth. in one minute 6 to 8 drops of saliva come out. i don't know what is wrong? he still eats dry food and drinks water. what can this be?

reply if you know something. Thanks Mike

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Could your cat have come into contact/eaten something toxic, he could have a tooth/mouth problem,TBH it could be any number of things causing the drooling. My advice is take him to the vet to be checked out today.

Did you give the cat a worming tablet or other medication? Did you administer a spot-on treatment which it might have licked?
If nothing obvious like this then I too would get the cat to a vet asap.
