We had friends round yesterday, have to be outside in Scotland, not allowed anyone in the house so were on the patio. They brought their dog and he sneaked in the house when my husband and I went in for something. Candy objected and he flew at her, got her head in his mouth, he is the same size as her so must have a huge mouth! Cue vets visit for horribly inflamed eye. Luckily the actual eye is not damaged so she basically just has a black eye. When will she learn that threatening terriers is a stupid idea.

Poor Candy! Am I the only one who doesn't think she was in the wrong here?

No. I think she was doing her job and seeing off the cheeky interloper.

The problem is she visits him in his house and lies on the arm of a sofa surveying the room. Or even worse sits on Otto's dad for a cuddle.

Aw bless her - she looks suitably sorry for herself in that picture.

Not sure about stupid Candy though - did you not learn anything about closing doors from murphs breaking in to your house?:p

What are your friends saying - bet they are mortified! Hope Candy recovers super quick; she is a lovely girl

They are usually good friends. The dogs I mean. I did not tell my friends that we ended up at the vets, I think that would have traumatised them! I think it was my husband that actually let him in - typical man!

Candy doesnt seem to care too much. She has green dye running down her face from a half closed eye, looks like a Halloween monster. She was happy to go for a walk and meet other dogs and we are going to meet up with our friends tomorrow if the weather is ok and let the dogs have a walk together to smooth things over.

My friend has a very friendly lab 10 months old we decided to introduce him and Loki in a neutral area. He took one look at loki and went for him has to be pulled off. She was so upset kept apologising whilst I was just secretly relieved it wasn’t Loki who spoiled the play date.
