i personally wouldnt seperate them. in my opinion its just one of them showing the other one who is boss and the top of the hiearchy. you just got your finger stuck in the middle.

i have two females together and they have their odd bicker over food mainly. i got biten today as one had a cricket and they started argying over it (just with the squeacking that you mention) and i tried to give the other one a cricket to stop them argying over one and she nipped me on the finger lol (my fault really)
all animals will have this hireachy (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs ect)

would you seperate two dogs just because one was making the other lie on its back showing its belly (being submissive)
i wouldn't to be perfectly onest

but its up to you really :)

well ive had my two together for about 2 months now and there was a third with them also but toke her out to breed.

    its truly up to you.

why dont you leave them and see how things go ??? if the argyments get more frequent or your worrid something will happen between them then seperate them.
but personally unless they injuried one another, i would leave them be.

i could always provide two food bowls, two water bottles and two beds for them so they have seperate places to go.

mine are exactly the same, and when they are not squeking at eachother they are cuddled up in their box with eachother.

they dot even have 2 of everything and they are fine in my eyes. actually squeking right at this moment as i write this

I would seperate them.. It might not be really agressive now but it may end up that way... They could fight to the death

ive just had to separate them :(

there was a little sqeak, fry went undercover to the right side and stir came over from the left side had a bit of a scrap. took fry out checked him , put him back in the cage and they were figting rolling in a ball :( (first time its been this bad)

luckly i have 3 spare tanks and enough stuff for about 5 hamsters lol so just set fry up in the new home in the tank

i really dont like the tanks though, so im in half a mind to go pets@home later a buy a mini duna

i dont understand why stirs gone agressive :(

awh thats really unlucky, although i have two females together i do have two males that are seperate nd i thought that because one of them has mated with a female that ws why they no longer got along. maybe its males that are more likely to need seperating.

it ws also the male that had mated that turned nasty towrds the other one :(

oh well at least you had a spare cage.
