    What was this food.......Lily's Kitchen

How do any of you feed that stuff? YUK YUK YUK

It smells quite nice IMO.... doesn't smell like "proper" stinky dog food; butchers, winalot etc

It smells more rancid in your opinion than Butchers/Pedigree & other similar brands? I've opened a can of butchers & a can of Lily's and I can say with certainty that the smellist of the two that actually makes me want to gag is butchers ;) Lily's is much fresher smelling.

I've never smelt anything like it. I'd rather have green tripe than that stuff!!

I hope the dogs don't end up poorly, sounds like it was a rancid can (as with all tins, it takes a tiny little dent around the rim to let air in and make the food spoil).

    Lily's Kitchen smells good.

The bit they had left from the morning feed when I arrived at lunchtime smelt the same and that was a different can.
They feed it all the time, so I can only assume it smells that rank all the time.

I can still smell it on my clothes now 2hrs after leaving there!!!

Lily's kitchen cans always smell quite tasty to me, certainly not strong or rancid. Perhaps you should mention it to the owners just in case?

    Really?

You've clearly got the nose of a Bloodhound.

Or you've managed to spill it all down yourself!

Or could just have a very good sense of smell?

I can smell perfume from guests in my home a couple of hours after they have left, just in the air or on my dogs fur.

Never used Lily kitchen and don't think I would ever try if that's how it smells.

    Quite

I don't mind the smell of Chappie too much, but understand why others may think differently :D

By the sound of it, it may just be this flavour.

I have to agree Rona, I tried it with my two and they were both poorly afterwards. Definitely not worth what it costs imo.

One of the dogs has allergy issues and this is one of the foods that works, so worth the cost to these owners :)

As I said, the morning feed smelt almost as bad and I opened a fresh tin, so two different tins smelt the same.
The owners fed this mornings feed, and as they feed this regularly, they would have noticed any difference in smell

Very strange then. As i say, the tins I've got do not smell as awful as you're describing. Guess we all just have different sensitivities to certain smells. Like i said, Butchers makes me gag everytime and smells the whole kitchen out after dishing it up!

Never tried that particular flavour but my lot have Lily's Kitchen and it smells lovely!
Sounds like you are just super sensitive to it, and if you are still smelling it hours later then its more likely its now a psychosomatic bad smell!
