Squirrels Digging

    Anyway to keep squirrels from digging up my patch of planted grass seed? The grass began growing in nicely and they keep digging it up. I thought it was only birds pecking away at the seeds that I had to worry about.

    Lay a piece of chicken wire over it, pinned at edges and domed so they can't reach the soil beneath.

    Are they grey or red?

    If they are grey an air rifle is most effective.

    If they are red then plant more seeds.
