    Any sports fans out there?

I'm hoping there are like minded folk on here and we can debate away, especially with the World Cup approaching!!

I'm guessing this will be a interesting thread or it will be as popular as a fart in a spacesuit!

The World Cup is coming up with a few interesting arguments...

    Should Emile Heskey go?

Who should be 1st choice keeper?

    Zamora and Bent? outstanding seasons?

Woo Hoo ....I can't wait until the World cup starts

Supermarkets will be empty of men who insist on going shopping with their wives and pushing the trolley.....Not that they have any interest in the weekly shop, its just the "manly" thing to do and throw in a few huffs and puffs of disgust at what the wife is putting in the trolley whilst blocking the aisle.

As if women cant shop on their own??? Insult to our intelligence I think insisting on going.

Stay at home and vegitate in front of the screen while watching a ball being kicked from one end to another and let woman enjoy what they enjoy best....shopping and spending!!:lol:

BUT......all credit to those males who do shopping for their families on their own or who live on their own and shop  Think take aways in order their for the latter :lol:

I shop and I hate it, I get serious trolly rage!

But takeaways will be a plenty during the world cup!

The whole country should get behind the England football team. Everyone will be in high spirits if England do well. Wives and girlfriends will be on promises ;)

Don't really do football. Will support England though. My sport is Tennis and I thoroughly immerse myself in it for 2 weeks a year when Wimbledon is on

I think it starts on the 11th June.

I'll have the car kit soon. St Georges flags all over my car!

i CANNOT STAND footie in the slightest. I hate the coverage it gets to the detriment of EVERY other programme.

i LOVE basketball, mtbing, any on piste sport, any skating sport, any motor racing (mostly touring and bikes tho) and rubgy (just don't ask me what the rules are.. i'm there for the scrummies.. erm i mean scrums :p~ ).

unfortunately i can only afford freeview so rarely see any "low-number-of-fan" sports on tv :"(

i get over this by playing basketball instead or going to local-league games.

    Hesky = No
    1st Choice = James (experience)
Both though see Zamora's not even in the 30

I hate football it's a disgraceful abuse of money and no man is ever worth the hefty prices some clubs pay for a single player.
I prefer Tour de France which is another sport often bound in controversy, usually drugs. Athough why no one is ever prosecuted for using I'll never know. But then again, none ever gets prosecuted for peddling either!

I don't think Heskey should be going, he barely makes the Villa 1st team! I think Zamora has a slight injury, which may have swayed Capello in to not picking him. I know other players have injuries as well (Ferdinand, Rooney etc), but they are more focal to the team....IMO!!

I'm not a Theo Walcott fan either!

Who should play the holding midfield role?

I am more a club football fan than international football but will watch the world cup cos enjoy the tournament.

I hate when the football season ends but is alleviated when there is a euro/world cup tournament in the summer:)

well - my hubby is into snooker but after Higgins (my favourite) seems to be such a greedy *** ? my son erupted when his beloved Chelsea won the Premier (don't blame me), the closest to any sport I was when sailing and playing bridge...but with my family will support England but would not mind if an African nation won...
