Is it safe to leave them in overnight as mum is in bed and I kind of just got splintered by my door or I think it is a splinter anyway flipping stings.

Last time I tried I had no luck plus mum likes to be with me near hot water to make sure I'm ok and she is in bed. It is stinging.
