Was just browsing gumtree and came across an ad stating Lab Puppies for £80 (which in itself is cheap), and for a limited time you can buy one get one free.

Am I being silly by finding this shocking that they are dumping 2 on every new owner. Or is it a good sign they are not in it for the money so to speak?

Personally, I think it's an awful idea, dogs are living things, not groceries & having 2 puppies at once is hard work. Poor dogs:(

More likely that they discovered their money making scheme didn't work too well, so they need to cut their losses.

Could be due to lack of interest, that's a good point.

It sounds irresponsable to me, one puppy will be hard enough. How long before the owners who got there BOGOF dogs can't cope with two and one or both end up in a rescue:rolleyes:

14 weeks old, 1 boy and 4 girls. So not sure how this deal will work, seeing as it's an odd number lol.

TBH I never look at the ads on Gumtree and the like because it makes me so furious. These people should be made to watch while a few dozen unwanted dogs are PTS. Maybe then they would start to realise the consequences of their greed.

prob having issues due to people *finally* wising up to asking for healthcheck proof regarding hips at least in labs

a friend of a friend was trying to sell me a lab puppy for £120 and was moaning nobody wanted them (originally £280) because they had no hip or elbow scores for either parent

Where do i begin... this could be a long one... get comfortable for the sunday sermon!

About that advert, it's just horrific 'marketing' puppies like groceries. Not like you can put one in the back of the cupboard until you need it.
