    Hi can anyone help?

Does anyone know what this is on mares head?

not sure if she’s just rubbed herself or if it’s something else... it’s really bothering her. She’s become really head shy and doesn’t like when I stroke or touch near there so it’s hurting her.
I want to know what it is so I know how to treat it and what cream I can put on.
    Thanks

It looks quite deep. Call the vet. She may need antibiotics and a tetanus shot.

The op hasn’t been back on since day after posting in April.

It would be nice if people came back with updates though.
