I've phoned the vets and they've said just keep an eye on him until Monday unless he gets any worse..

He woke me up during the night shaking and wanting to lie right ontop of my pillows. Everytime I moved he moved close upto my head again. Somehow I fell asleep with him ontop of my head and this morning when he got up for the toilet he looked really sad. Normaly he can't wait to get out and run about but nothing.. Mum went out and when she came back he just lay on the bed not even coming in to see her. Dad came down too and he was the same. He always takes them out for a run in the garden but Blu was really reluctent. When he got him out I heard barking and he was warning Jack off so brought him back in.

After he got in all he wanted to do was hide in the bathroom so I took him out myself and got him interested in a tennis ball but when he ran to get it he let out a scream and was back to shaking and wanting back in. Tried giving him treats and ham but he's turning his nose up at both.

It is reminding me of when our old poodle had luxtating patella but can they get that in the front leg? Up until he yelped mum thought he was just feeling bad for me because I've been told I have anemia and been in bed and he hasn't left my side. Knew there was a reason I didn't enter any shows for a few weeks

Do you have any metacam. If not how about half an aspirin and see if that helps him. I dont think it is fair to leave him till Monday without pain killers whatever the vet says.

    Poor Blu!

Is he going to the toilet? Just wonder if he could be constipated?

This is the time when it would really help if they could talk!

Vet recons it's an abcess at the back of his jaw but he couldn't open his mouth to get a good look because just touching it he was screaming. His eye is swollen, tonsils are enlarged and he has a temperature. He's got metacam and anibiotics that puppies get. Because he can't open his mouth to take tablets the liquid puppy stuff is the only option. Waiting for the metacam to kick in before attempting that! Need to syringe water into him because he can't drink without it hurting either.

If it isn't better by Monday he will need to go in for xrays.

Poor chap no wonder he is so uncomfortable, Hope the metacam gives him some relief soon, and the antibiotics clear it up.
