    with our justice system
A young girl is murdered and he gets 12 years
2 footballers are robbed and they get 10 years
Is a life worth so little.

:mad:I was saying the same thing when I saw it on the news. Is to do with the fact that the murderer is under 18?
he stabbed her many times and it was planned,

It maybe, but what ever their age, stabbing someone so many times should never walk the streets again.

Murder should mean a life behind bars. 12 years is not long enough.

I agree - murder should mean life - you die in prison.

    Our Justice system is weak.

    It needs a total reform.

    It’s not working.

    12 years for murder

It seems you get near enough the same amount of time in prison for robbery.

If you take a life it should mean you spend the rest of your life in prison, no parole. That person chose to take someones life away from them.

What I think is so awful is when a killer refuses to say where the body is, meaning a family cannot lay them to rest, thus compounding their grief (if that is possible). They were talking of giving a life sentence in such cases; quite rightly too, I think.

I think they have a similar ruling in Australia.. It gives the families some relief but again its the worry these people walk the streets again, after a short sentence.
