Because all I ever seem to do here is whine about him, and don't sing his praises enough! So thought I'd take the time to say what a lovely puppy he is really ;)

He's gorgeous!! I have such a soft spot for dobies. I regularly walk with someone who has four of them - 2 black and tan, 1 blue and tan and 1 red and tan. They are all such great dogs and real assets to the breed :) Dres looks really lovely too!!

He's my first. He's hard work, I think I would have had a bit of a smoother ride through the puppy thing with a different breed maybe, but I knew that.

He's a total softy, though. Not a bad bone in his body, we just need to work a little on his impulse control and patience! If he wants something, he can be very tenacious, and keep coming up with different ways to get it! You have to be one step ahead all the time!

I can't believe he started like this:

Sometimes I look at those early pics and think 'I want another puppy!'....then I look at this and think, 'no I don't'

Oh god, Dres was awful! I could't actually get close to him or give him loves without being bitten until he was about 6 months :yikes:
Even now he'll still really lightly mouth when he's excited, which we're gradually phasing out. But yeah, he really lived up the phrase 'dober-shark'!
