hm my puppy got a bit of a smelly breath lately. shes on a very good diet, fruits vegetables as well as kibble and soft food since the day we got her.and that was never a problem. she is 5.5months now

l wonder if that is because she is teething now? found some teeth recently and saw a bit of blood on her gums. not sure how to help her through that stage and also how to fight the doggy breath smell?

When was the last time he was wormed? Pups up to 6 months need worming a lot more frequently then adults, and if she hasn't been wormed in a good while or as frequently as she should worms can sometimes be a cause of mouth odour too.

Your vet is the best person to pinpoint the cause.

Lily has a smelly breath too - only since she has started losing her teeth.

Might sound silly, but have you had a good look in her mouth in case she has something stuck in her teeth?
    Look right to the back.

It is likely because she's changing her teeth. She will have dried blood in her mouth which doesn't smell pleasant.

You can buy a toothpaste for dogs called Logic. You don't brush the teeth but squirt some onto your dog's gum and it coats the teeth and gums, cleaning them when saliva brings it off.

Her unpleasant breath should go once she finishes teething, but you could try the Logic in the meantime.

Are her anal glands ok, she's not bottom scooting or anything, sometimes blocked or infected anal glands can cause bad breath

    thanks guys,
hm no anal glands are ok, she is only 5mths l think she is not developed yet to have any bottom issues ;) but nope - no signs of discomfort there. l think it must be teething uh :Hungover well will keep an eye on that and see, she will have vet check up at 6months (in 2,5 weeks) to get fixed so will mention breath to them as well
